how to pick your perfect hairstyle
six steps to satisfaction

your length
if you have short to mid-length hair there are many interesting shapes which you can achieve. choose a style that concentrates on your own individuality, even if your hair is long.

your type
you should have a good idea what hair type you have by the shampoo and conditioner you use. avoid overly styled looks if you have dry hair and don't fancy washing it every day
your texture
each texture lends itself more easily to a certain style and length. Think about how easy or difficult your hair can be to style and choose a look that won't frustrate you every morning
top tip communication is my key to customers satisfaction

going red
red is great for adding depth and miraculous shine to darker hair colours. red shades are prone to fading more quickly than others

going brown
brown tones on brown hair produce amazing shine
going darker
use a temporary tint over your hair and the highlights will show through. darker hair will naturally make you look paler

highlights
highlights add the illusion of texture to hair, if you're not sure about an all over colour just try a few thin highlights around the face

going blonde
blonde is best for light-brown to dark blonde hair. any darker and you're looking at a lot of re-touch work
top tip your natural tones: consider your eye and skin tone when choosing a shade. some hair colours will wash out pale skin while others will warm it up
use pictures, we all see and explain things differently

use pictures
cut out and use pictures to explain the type of style you would like, the fringe from one photo, colour in another etc. you want a style that works with your hair type and suits your face shape and fits in with your lifestyle
upkeep
if you love spending hours styling your hair most looks should be within your reach. avoid high maintenance styles if you like to wash and go
lifestyle
if you visit the gym regularly you may want a hair style that you can sweep back in an instant
top tip make notes to take into the salon along with your pictures that you was thinking having your hair like.

with friends
confide in others, their opinion may help make up your mind
with your stylist
they have the knowledge and your hair is in their hands -try and make the most of their expertise. ask your stylist about the latest techniques and treatments

your concerns
bold and blunt, fashion your fringe in any waydon't be afraid to ask a question more that once, the stylist will be happier if you leave the salon brimming over with confidence in your new hair style

making your appointment
it's vital that you explain what you want at this initial stage, such as whether a restyle or a trim and do you want the colour doing too; these will influence the time allocated for your appointment
use our free consultation
it is very important to get a stylist on your frequency, use your pictures to explain
when you get home
you may need the same products at home as your stylist to achieve the same result
top tip if you're still undecided make a consultation appointment for some straight talking, and you can go away to consider your options
learn the techniques of your new hairstyle
take note

if you have had a consultation but don't like the way things are going with the scissors say something to your hairdressers,we want you to be 100% happy with the final result it is so much better to speak out so we don't chop off more hair than you want.
products
take note of the products your stylist uses when working with your hair - helps recreate the perfect look with a professional finish. a stylist will take you through step by step instructions on how to style your hair
styling tools
for recreating the salon look at home you need to be all tooled up, ask your hairdresser to recommend professional styling tools, a little more expensive, but will be worth the extra cost
advice after a restyle, allow a few days to acclimatize, it can take a while to get used to a new style. if you are unsure, please don't be afraid to return to top tip when adding products, layer them up slowly to prevent over-applying and creating a sticky mess and also always ask your hiardresser if your not sure what he/she's doing.
