questions and answers about hair extensions
what different looks can be achieved with hair extensions?
you can add length, body, colour or even change your style (for instance, a longer fringe)
what length can i have my extensions?
in order for them to look as natural as possible we advise that you should never wear hair extensions more than twice the length of your natural hair
how long can i keep my hair extensions in for?
this depends on a number of things, your own hair type, how you look after your hair extensions. plaiting the hair before you get in bed can keep the hair extensions from frizzing and help them remain smooth for longer. bonded extensions can be kept in for up to 3 months, but should be checked every 8 weeks by your stylist.
how do i wash and style my extensions?
you should use a shampoo and conditioner recommended by your stylist. the hair should be washed and conditioned in a downward direction so they don’t tangle. towel-dry the hair by blotting and not rubbing. apply a leave-in conditioner and blast-dry the extensions until just damp, before combing through.
can i use strengtheners on my extensions?
if you have the straight extensions there is no need to use them because they will dry straight by blow-drying them gently. you can use strengtheners or tongs to curl you extensions for a different look, but, as with you natural hair, you hair will feel dryer if you over-do it.
can i wear my hair up with the extensions?
yes, but note that we do not place extensions within one inch of your hairline. consequently, with woven extensions you would choose a looser look for your hair up.
can i colour my hair with extensions in?
we recommend that you only have your colour done professionally while wearing hair extensions to ensure correct application and removal without damaging your hair or scalp. we suggest you have the colour done before you have your extensions applied so the hair lasts longer.
